Arlene Mary Person

Arlene Mary Person passed away on November 7, 2025, at the age of 87. Born on May 26, 1938, Arlene grew up in the Dalton and Fergus Falls area of Minnesota before graduating from Glenwood High School. After graduation, she moved with her parents to the Twin Cities, where she began her career with AT&T in Minneapolis.

Arlene married Donald N. Person of Lowry, Minnesota, and together they made their home in Eagan, where they raised their two children, Brenda and Donald Jr. She enjoyed gardening, homemaking, and spending time at the family’s lake place near Dalton, where they fished and gathered with extended family.

As her children grew older, Arlene returned to work in data entry at Anacomp in Bloomington. She and Don later sold the lake home and purchased a hobby farm near Kensington, where Arlene retired early and took on raising chickens and beef cattle while staying close to her mother and sister. Arlene valued time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

After Don’s passing in 2016, Arlene moved to an apartment in Alexandria and later to Wabasha to live with her daughter. As her care needs changed, she moved to a nursing home, where she lived until her passing.

Arlene is survived by her daughter, Brenda (Al); her grandchildren Adam (Rebecca), Kevin (Xan), and Cyndi (J.T.); and her great-grandchildren Alex, Tanner, Elliott, Logan, Brett, Lonna, and Gracie. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald N. Person, Sr., and her son, Donald N. Person, Jr.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria, Minnesota, begging at 11:00 AM, with a public visitation one hour prior to services. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Alexandria following a funeral luncheon at the funeral home.
