Laurie Ann Porter, age 39, of Alexandria, Minnesota, formerly of Miltona, Minnesota, fought a courageous battle against cancer. She passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2016.
Laurie was full of life, love, and compassion. Besides putting her family first, she always reached out to help others in need. She was a talented artist, a caring wife and mother, and enjoyed learning about all people and all cultures.
She is survived by her husband Troy Porter; children Madeline Skog, Jaeda Porter, and Ryker Porter; honorary daughter Shaunah Stanbra; mother Joannie Skog; sister Kirsten Skog; brothers Daniel Skog, Duane Skog, and Jonathon Skog; nephew Ege Skog; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends.
She is preceded in death by her father LaVerne Skog and infant daughter Alyssa Skog.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at 10 a.m. with services following at 11 a.m. at New Life Christian Church, located at 1910 County Road 82 SE, Alexandria, Minnesota.
