Virginia "Ginny" (Thomas) Miller

September 10, 1937 ~ August 7, 2018 (age 80)

Virginia Kay was born on September 10, 1937, in Minneapolis, Minnesota the daughter of John and Dorothy (Edwards) Thomas.  She grew up in the Minneapolis area and graduated from Washburn High School.  As a young woman she was a part of Tommy Bartlet Waterski Show.  She was always the funny one – dressing up in goofy outfits to make people laugh and have fun.

Ginny was united in marriage to Chuck Miller on June 1, 1974 in Minneapolis.  The couple resided in Minneapolis until 1986 when they moved to Alexandria.  Ginny’s love of the water brought them to their Lake Home on Lake Amelia.  She also enjoyed playing games and was a wonderful artist.

Ginny will be remembered as a caring, kind soul whos love of animals and family always came through. 

Virginia died on Tuesday, August 7, 2018.  She is survived by her husband, Chuck; daughters: Robin Ross, Juli Ross; grandchildren: Ginny SanRoman, Angie VanOsdel, Johnny Herman.  She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Lori VanOsdel and brother, Michael.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 13, 2018, 11:00 a.m. at the Bethany Home Chapel in Alexandria with a visitation one hour prior.
