Matthew Robert Bormann, the oldest of four siblings, was born on June 24, 1986, in Sioux Falls, SD, the son of Bruce and Janet (Thompson) Bormann.  He was baptized at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Sioux Falls and confirmed at Glenwood Lutheran Church in Glenwood, MN.  Matt earned Allstate Choir honors as a junior.  He enjoyed all sports; he played football through his senior year.  Matt graduated in 2005, from Minnewaska High School near Glenwood, MN.

Matt enjoyed working at Pizza Hut in Fergus Falls.  He loved hunting, fishing, taking long-long walks, boating and doing water sports.  He spent many hours watching movies and YouTube, playing video games, spending time on his phone, and had a passion for marvel comics books and movies.  Some of his favorite TV channels were, A&E, Discovery, and the History Channel.  Family was very important to Matthew, especially being with his siblings, and spent many hours playing board games, especially candy land.  He loved the family dogs, Hunter and Belle.  His most memorable times with family would be going on family trips to Washington D.C, Wisconsin Dells, Disney World and St. Louis to name a few.  When eating out Matt loved having spicy food; hotter the better.
