Diane Elaine (Moe) Huber

March 17, 1957 ~ October 12, 2018 (age 61)

Diane Elaine (Moe) Huber was born the second daughter of Gilmore and Marjorie (Sanstead) Moe on March 17, 1957. She enjoyed being a St. Patrick’s Day baby and loved shamrocks and wearing green.  Diane grew up in Elbow Lake and was involved in Girl Scouts and dance.  The family moved to Alexandria when Diane entered her 9th grade year of high school.  Diane graduated from Jefferson High School in Alexandria.  She studied data entry at Alexandria Technical College and after graduation started a job in the cities.  While in the cities, Diane met Dave Harvey and the two were married and were blessed with 3 children,  Jennifer, Amanda and Gregory.  The two were divorced and Diane moved back to Alexandria in the late 1980’s.

Diane married Dave Huber in October of 2004, and the couple moved to Fairmont, ND, and worked at Dakota Magic Casino in housekeeping within the hotel.  In 2011, Diane moved back to Alexandria with growing health concerns.  Diane loved life and battled her COPD courageously and lived longer than anyone thought.  In March of 2017, Diane moved into Bethany on the Lake and enjoyed being cared for by the wonderful staff.  Her favorite trip was a family wedding on a cruise ship in 2011, even though she roomed with her mother.  Diane enjoyed needlepoint, bingo and bowling, which she was on a few different leagues.

Diane died on Friday, October 12, 2018, at Bethany on the Lake in Alexandria at the age of 61.  She is survived by her children, Jennifer Harvey of Duluth, Amanda Harvey of Alexandria, and Gregory (fiancé, Kati Calvert) of Grapevine, TX; sisters, Karen (Gary) Schuneman of Kensington, Julie (Tony) Krenn of Cape Coral, FL; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.  Diane is preceded in death by her parents, Gilmore and Marjorie.

A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM on Monday, October 15, 2018, at Bethany on the Lake Chapel in Alexandria.  Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service on Monday.  Inurnment will be held at Mound Grove Cemetery in Evansville, MN
